George D Behrakis

Chairman

George Behrakis is a Greek-American businessman, medical researcher, retired pharmacist and philanthropist. George distinguished himself in the pharmaceutical industry and is the founder of the successful Dooner Laboratories and Muro Pharmaceutical, Inc. As Chairman for Marwick, George is involved in all portfolio management and acquisition decisions.

He served on the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America; was vice chairman of Hellenic College/Holy Cross School of Theology; chairman of Leadership 100, Archon of the Order of St. Andrew; and was the force behind the establishment of the Saint Methodios Faith and Heritage Center, Metropolis of Boston Camp and Retreat Center in New Hampshire.

George’s philanthropic endeavors are extensive and include The George D. and Margo Behrakis Wing for Greek and Roman Art at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and the George D. Behrakis Chair in the Field of Targeted Pharmaceuticals at Northeastern University. He also established the Behrakis Fellowship in cardiovascular research supporting physicians from Greece at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

George and his wife Margo are actively involved in a number of organizations, including the National Hellenic Society and Alpha Omega Council. George is a Founding Director of the Gorbachev Foundation of North America and a recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor. He was also presented with the Greek Heritage Award by the American College of Greece, recognizing his contribution to promoting Hellenism.

George was born and raised in Lowell, Massachusetts. He studied at Northeastern University before working at Johnson & Johnson. He and his wife, Margo, reside in North Tewksbury, Massachusetts.

Drake G Behrakis

President

As President of Marwick, Drake is responsible for the execution of the vision, strategy and general oversight of the company. Prior to establishing Marwick, Drake held a number of positions with Muro Pharmaceutical and the Gillette company.

Drake also remains active in the Behrakis Foundation and the family’s community investments. In 2015 he was the recipient of the Boston College Distinguished Volunteer Award. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The National Hellenic Society and is on the Board of Directors/Advisors for The Hellenic Initiative, Boston College, American College of Greece, Hellenic College/Holy Cross, Delphi Economic Forum and The Leadership 100 Endowment Fund. He is also a Board of Overseer at Brigham & Woman’s Hospital and is invested into the Order of St. Andrew.

Drake attended Boston College, and currently resides with his wife and three children and dog, Lola, in Sudbury, Massachusetts. His personal interests include traveling, golf, skiing, and collecting wine.

Elizabeth Tortora

Controller

Elizabeth has been a Marwick team member since 2004, bringing her GAAP and accounting experience to her role as Controller, where she oversees the firm’s budget, transactions, and expenses. Elziabeth also overseas management of private and public investments for the company. Prior to joining Marwick, Elizabeth was the Accounting Manager of, FairMarket, a publicly traded technology firm later purchased by eBay, Inc.

Elizabeth holds an MBA from Bentley University and now lives in Woburn, MA with her two daughters and two dogs.

Elizabeth Tortora

Controller

John Sisk

Asset Manager

John Sisk joined Marwick Associates in 2003 as an Asset Manager. He is responsible for all aspects of the real estate portfolio including acquisitions, disposition, leasing, construction and property management. Prior to joining Marwick, John was an Asset Manager with The RMR Group in Newton, where he was responsible for a national portfolio of government-leased properties.

John holds an RPA designation from BOMA. John graduated from Bentley College and now lives in Needham with his wife and daughter.
